There is so many kind of linux penetrating distro based on ubuntu, include backbox. But we see, based on ubuntu, also based on desktop environment and manager but also based on ubuntu, such as backtrack using kde and gnome (backtrack 5), GnackTrack using gnome, and backbox using xfce.

About Backbox Linux
Made in italia that has target to promote and boost open source environments use. Backbox‘s team gained experience over year by year and analysis update technologies to propose solutions increasingly modern and high performace. Found and developed in 2011 by Raffaele Forte, worked as systems engineer and web developer for many companies.

The latest released of backbox is backbox version 2.01 that claimed the most flexible penetration tools available. Backbox 2.01 based on ubuntu 11.04, powered by kernel 2.6.38 and has a xfce 4.8.0 for it’s desktop manager.

• Minimal graphic card resolution is 800 x 600
